What is Reiki?

Reiki is a loving energy consisting of the same universal life force with all of us. Reiki treatments address imbalances on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.

They encourage harmony and unity to restore the natural ability of our cells to heal and create balance.

It’s unsure exactly what animals feel when receiving Reiki, but they do become quieter and more relaxed. They seem to recognize this energy and understand that they are being helped.

What to Expect

I now offer Animal Reiki Treatments at Pet Wellness & Therapy in East Lyme, CT. (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, upon request—follow-ups only)

Initial sessions are approximately 90 minutes. This includes time spent getting acquainted with you and your pet, allowing your pet to get comfortable with me.

We’ll briefly review your intake form and make sure you’ve signed a consent form before I begin offering Reiki.

It will also include time afterward to go over what’s uncovered during our session and address your questions to best support your companion moving forward.

  • First-Time Animal Reiki Session at Pet Wellness & Therapy (90 Minutes): $150

  • Animal Follow-Up Sessions at Pet Wellness & Therapy (30-60 Minutes): Up to $85

Reiki can be offered in a hands-on or hands-off manner, depending on your pet’s needs - both are equally as effective.

Clients commonly leave the room once their pets begin to relax, which helps the animal settle into their energy (and disconnect from the energy of their person) for the deepest benefit.

*Every session is adapted to your unique needs and comfort—you are welcome to remain with your pet for the duration of the session if preferred…

Animals typically get their “fill” with Reiki energy more quickly than most humans and benefit from more frequent treatments. Most follow-up sessions will only require 30 - 60 minutes.

I offer home visits on a case-by-case basis —> Inquire about a home visit.

Distance Animal Reiki sessions can also be performed upon request and can be as beneficial as in-person care.

If you have an animal experiencing severe behavioral difficulties, with a history of aggression, or with a sensitive injury or wound, please be direct in disclosing this to me ahead of time…

This does not rule out treatment but instead allows us to find the most suitable approach to ensure the safety and well-being of both the animal and the practitioner. Thank you.
